PBS Achieves the First Goal!
This is a landmark post!
The PowerBook Studio is well and truly realizing it’s potential. The dream was to produce music in paradise and that is exactly what is happening right now. I am about 10 metres from the beach, sitting outside on the porch watching the Andaman waves crashing in. Once I have posted this I have loads of new music to work on that I have been commissioned to produce.
PowerBook Studio is soon to be a transformed place. Far less emphasis on the blog, although I will be posting on it as and when interesting updates are to be had.
The website will mainly be geared towards sharing the ethos of the Powerbook Studio, which is to make music, or multimedia for that matter anywhere without needing a large budget to do so. In fact it is more likely that travel costs will be more than the cost of the studio!
I love the fact that I got my studio out here in my hand luggage, although it is not the complete studio. If I didn’t have to bring a lot of other stuff that I needed for this trip I think I could have got all of it in (minus the studio monitors). I am intent on being able to transport the entire studio, which consists of PowerBook, microphones, audio interface, external hard drive, cables and powered monitors all in my hand luggage. Maybe I’ll have some room left for a toothbrush, razor and a spare pair of underpants! Failing that I know that it will all go in my main luggage.
So maybe I’ll create a PowerBook Studio podcast to get into the swing of things. It seems fitting to make audio posts on the blog too.

Hi George.
I still have my Pismo, all set up and it works great!
If you need any advice keep checking back here and if you have any suggestions as to what you want me to cover here, just let me know.
The Pismo is a great machine. I recorded an entire album on it from start to finish. It’s truly a magic box of tricks!
Whilst I’m experiencing some peace and quiet here I’m putting together the bare bones of the new improved PBS site after a couple of failed attempts. This time though I think it’s going to be better.

Hey, I hope you keep up with the site. I have a Pismo that I’m just starting to play with for audio. I have no idea what I’m doing, though….lol. I’d love to see how your setup looks while you’re recording/editing/whatever. pics, pics, pics….see ya later.
